The sound quality that you get for the price is the main selling point with this plugin. Shreddage 3 – Impact Sound Works ( Metal Guitar VST). We’d like you to check out some of the best metal snare plugins out there at the moment, called Natural Snare, and developed by our friends at TIGHT SOUND.
Natural Snare is a MIDI-based snare drum sampler. It has been processed with compression and equalization to sound great in your mixes. This makes this Kontakt library particularly useful in music genres that require a big and massive snare drum sound, such as Modern Rock, Progressive Metal, Djent and so on.

The Benefits of Mixed-Ready Snare Drum Samples

Processed samples sound good off the bat. This means that you get inspired more easily and spend more time actually creating music rather than trying to get your mix to sound right.

Vst

Unless you are a very good mixing engineer, chances are you usually start with unprocessed samples – because you want to process them your way to get your sound – but you actually never quite get there.

But guess what… by buying samples from smaller developers, you already sound different from the crowd, who always relies on the same old drum libraries. And besides sounding different, you’ll also sound good, because you will be getting your hands on metal snare samples that were created by talented engineers who know what they’re doing, and who know how to create things that, indeed, sound spot on. The choice is yours! Be practical. Nba live 2005 download.

Metal 1

The drum kit used for Drummix Metal 1 is a Tama Artstar 2; one of the 25 copies of Lars Ulrich’s famous Black Album tour drums! This is the holy grail of metal drum kits with 6 toms, 2 kick drums and loads of cymbals. Metal 1 is recorded in a medium ambience room, but with additional microphones in a huge space next door to bring out that big metal sound we like. It comes with several different kick and snare samples because we know how important those instrument are in this genre.

Concept

The plugin has outputs for every microphone recorded so you can mix the drums like a real drum kit. We created these plugins because we felt the acoustic drum plugins available on the market all sounded very polished and premixed. This is not the case with our Drummix plugin. These drum kits were recorded with excellent microphones from brands such as Neumann, AKG, Coles, Beyerdynamic, Shure and many more. They were professionally engineered through mic pres from Universal Audio, Neve, TLA, AMEK and Elberg into 24 bit RME converters and Nuendo. The next process would be mixing, but we left that up to you and this is actually one of the greatest benefits of these plugins.

The plugin comes both in stereo for a quick setup and in a multiple output version. In the multiple output version all the different microphones are sent out to 12 different physical outputs in your DAW. This way you can mix the drums just like a real recorded drum kit. Add EQ, compression and reverb to taste. Go for hi-fi or low-fi sound or even remove some of the microphones to make it sound completely different. The effects you have in your DAW are usually much better than the ones inside a drum plugin, so why not use those.

Interface

Metal Rock Vst Plugins

The interface is very intuitive. It has different pages for the different options like loading, what sounds the plugin has and explanation of the multiple out system. There are faders, as well as solo, mute and phase shifting switches for all outputs.

Sound

These drums are specially good for Trash metal. The drums sound tight and dry and are very easy to fit into a mix. To help you with that, we have included a manual with helpfull tips about mixing the drums professionally. There are examples with pictures of EQ and compression and how to balance the drums. Many of our competitors offer the possibility to change drums and cymbals inside the plugins. This is not the case with our plugins. We believe in keeping the drums the way they were recorded the whole way through to make them sound as good as possible. We do not believe in interchanging drums and cymbals because you will end up with different artefacts than in real life. If you were to change a drum on a real drum kit you’d have to re-record every hit to make everything sound correct. Most companies don’t do this, so when you drag in a new snare drum, you’re likely to hear a different snare buzzing in that microphone than the one you selected. Drummix also does not offer hit randomizing and non-cycling. We believe in a different approach. Rather than simulating alternating drum hits by switching between two different strokes on the same velocity, we preferred to put those strokes on different keys. This is easier to play, and it sounds great. On this particular drum kit we offer two keys for all main snare and kick hits. See the layout on the bottom of the page.

Reviews

Drummix was formerly named „Mydrumset“ and a very early beta version was actually reviewed in Sound on Sound. Read for yourself.

User statements

“As a single kit for $30 it fantastic for what it does”

“I used this kit on a very metal based tune where I was originally using Toontracks MetalHeads. This kit cut through the mix much better. ”

“I loved that you added a stereo version. So simple to get up an running fast now”

“The memory “load” seems to be only 308,796K on my Win XP SP3 music computer!”

Price

Drummix Metal 1 is available at a price of $50! How can we sell this plugin so much less expensive than our competitors, you ask? Well, it is because all our plugins are recorded and made by Bjarte Ludvigsen who is a drummer and owns a professional recording studio.

Watermarking

We believe that watermarking is the best way to protect plugins in the future.

E-drums

These plugins are set up as a GM drum kit and will work with e-drums. However, they are not specifically adapted for that purpose, therefore we recommend trying the demo before the purchase to see if our product meets your needs. If it doesn’t, we can recommend Toontrack’s EZdrummer, which is a nice plugin that works very well with E-drums.

Compatibility

To be able to use the plugin you need a sequencer that supports VST instruments and multiple outputs such as Nuendo, Cubase, Cakewalk, Sonar, Reaper, Studio One, Samplitude etc. Please note that this is a Windows plugin and will unfortunately not work on Linux Ubuntu or Mac OS X. Important notice regarding Presonus Studio One 2 64bit: there’s issues with this particular new DAW that we are trying to fix. Studio One seems to work just fine:-)
